Traffic detours are set to begin Monday for PennDOT projects in North Huntingdon and Penn townships.

Crews are set to resume slide repairs in North Huntingdon. That work is expected to close a section of Guffey/Turner Valley Road, between Volk and Guffey roads, for up to 10 weeks.

The marked detour will direct motorists along Guffey and County roads, Clay Pike and Mars Hill Road.

A portion of Boquet Road in Penn Township, between Frye and Walton roads, is slated to close at 6 a.m. Monday and is expected to reopen on May 20, weather permitting. During the closure, workers will replace a deteriorated metal cross pipe with a concrete pipe.

The detour route includes sections of Claridge Export Road, Claridge Elliot Road, Route 993 and Business Route 66.
