A fight Friday at Brashear High School sent one student to the hospital, according to a school spokeswoman.

The student’s condition was not immediately available. Brashear High School is on Crane Avenue in the city’s Beechview neighborhood, and it serves just under 1,100 students.

Video of the incident appears to show one student slamming another heard-first into a hallway floor and then stomping on the boy’s head before school security stops him. The hallway was fairly crowded with students at the time.

The incident comes just two days after a 15-year-old was shot and killed outside of Oliver Citywide Academy on the city’s North Side. Marquis Campbell, a student there, was waiting in a school van to go home after school when police say two people walked up to the van and at least one opened fire.

On Thursday, at least two employees at Carrick High School were injured during a fight amongst students. A week earlier, one student was charged after a gun was found in the building.

District spokeswoman Mercedes Williams said the students involved in Friday’s fight face disciplinary action as well as possible criminal charges.
