A portion of Babcock Boulevard in Shaler was closed after an early morning vehicle crash, according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI.

The crash happened at about 1:30 p.m. and shut down the heavily traveled road between Greenhill and Schuetzen Park roads, WPXI reports.

According to WPXI, the driver of the car slammed into a utility pole, which sheared and fell on top of the car.

Images from the scene showed downed power lines also covered the vehicle.

It was unclear if there were any injuries.
