Greensburg police arrested a 29-year-old man Sunday night after responding to a reported domestic dispute.

Kyle L. Boyce was arraigned on charges of endangering the welfare of children, harassment, possession of drug paraphernalia, strangulation and unlawful restraint filed by police in connection with the 10:30 p.m. incident in an apartment in Eastmont Estates, which is operated by the county housing authority.

A woman told police that she and Boyce began arguing about him allegedly ingesting drugs with her three small children nearby, Patrolman Gerald McNamara reported in court documents. Boyce became angry and threw a bowl of milk on the woman, who fled into a bathroom. McNamara said.

She told police that Boyce followed her into the bathroom, where he choked her. McNamara reported that the woman “had bruising around her neck and a small cut.”

The woman reported Boyce then “took her phone, broke it against the wall and attempted to choke her again,” McNamara wrote.

Police reports said investigators seized five empty stamp bags of suspected heroin, a crack pipe and two small bags of marijuana “that were easily accessible” to the three children inside the apartment.

In 2019, North Huntingdon police charged Boyce with possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to one year of probation, according to court records.

After his arrest Sunday, Boyce was ordered held in the county jail on $75,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled on Feb. 18. He did not have an attorney listed in court documents.
