The Pirates fired manager Clint Hurdle last September after his team finished at the bottom of the NL Central with a record of 69-93. Now, the longtime baseball coach and manager has put his Pittsburgh home on the market.

Hurdle, 62, who now resides in Florida, lived in the 9,120-square foot home for nine years while he was with the Pirates. His Hampton Township home is listed with Achieve Realty, Inc. for $1.8 million.

The house has seven bedrooms and 6½ bathrooms, and sits on a 0.95-acre lot near Hampton Community Park, which is about a 25-minute drive from PNC Park.

The luxurious home on Whispering Creek Drive features a walk-out game room, full wet bar, media room, exercise room and lower-level guest suite with a fireplace. There also is extensive crown molding throughout, with soaring ceiling, top-of-the-line hardware and fixtures, appliances, cabinetry and Pella windows with custom built-in blinds.

The outside of the home features a two-story stone fireplace, a custom granite top bar with built-in appliances and an 8-foot-deep saltwater pool with a jetted spa with spillover. There also is a basketball court with a large Pirates logo in the middle.

Finally, the suburban Pittsburgh home has a six-car garage with a custom-poured concrete slab and wood garage doors.

In nine years as the Pirates manager, Hurdle recorded an overall record of 735-720 (.505). He also led the Pirates to the postseason three straight seasons from 2013-15 and has the fourth most wins in franchise history.

In September, Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union Tribune reported Hurdle was retiring from baseball after he considered becoming the Padres hitting coach under skipper Jayce Tingler.

He has spent his downtime along the Gulf Coast of Florida with his wife, Karla, and teenage children Maddie and Christian.
