Greensburg area bars say coronavirus won’t prevent them from celebrating St. Patrick’s Day Weekend.

All Saints Brewing, Mr. Toad’s and the Parkwood Inn are among the local establishments planning parties, and they say their events will go on as scheduled.

“As far as I know, all the bars are still OK with that,” said Mr. Toad’s general manager Natalie Rizzi, who said the bar is “100%” moving forward with its Kegs and Eggs event scheduled for Saturday morning and concert with the band Habatat that night.

Mr. Toad’s will make sure it’s well-stocked with soap and hand sanitizer, Rizzi said.

“We don’t forsee any problems,” she said.

Gov. Tom Wolf Thursday discouraged all “mass gatherings,” especially those with more than 250 attendees, and said people should avoid recreational activities in public places.

All Saints Brewing Company founder Jeff Guidos said the brewery is still planning to hold its ShamRock&Roll event Saturday afternoon and evening, which will feature food trucks and live music.

He said he’s aware of the governor’s announcement and is monitoring the situation, but for now, with no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Western Pensnylvania, the party will go on.

“If anyone’s sick, or afraid, they should stay home,” he said. “For those who want to come out, we’ll be here.”

The Ash Club, a private Greensburg club that hosts a popular yearly bar crawl on St. Patrick’s Day weekend, said the crawl will be held as scheduled.

Pittsburgh canceled Saturday’ St. Patrick’s Day parade, with plans to reschedule it for a later date.

Other city parties will go on as planned, though occupancy permits will be strictly enforced.
