Police arrested three men Friday in connection with a burglary in Verona.

The burglary took place Dec. 17 on East Railroad Avenue. Among the items stolen were two handguns, Allegheny County Police said.

During an investigation, county police identified James Caldwell, 26, and Zachary Rogowski, 20, both of Verona, as suspects.

Detectives were granted search warrants, which were served Friday in Verona. Police say they recovered one of the stolen guns, 12 bundles of suspected heroin or fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.

Caldwell and Rogowski were arrested as a result. Both are charged with burglary, criminal conspiracy, two counts of receiving stolen property and three counts of theft. Rogowski’s father, Walter Rogowski, 48, was also arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver narcotics.
