Two of the all-time greatest science fiction franchises — “Star Trek” and “Star Wars” — will be represented at the upcoming Steel City Con.
George Takei (Hikaru Sulu, “Star Trek”), Ray Park (Darth Maul, “Star Wars”) and the original “Hellboy” himself, Ron Perlman are the featured celebrities. Takei just published a graphic memoir, “They Called Us Enemy.”
Other noted celebrities attending include: Lea Thompson (“Back to the Future” trilogy), Karen Allen (“Raiders of the Lost Ark”), Gates McFadden (“Star Trek: The Next Generation”), Shirley Jones (“The Partridge Family”), Morgan Fairchild (“Falcon Crest”), Steve Guttenberg (“Police Academy”) and Ernie Hudson (“Ghostbusters”). Paul Reubens (Pee-wee Herman) was scheduled to be at the show, but canceled. Not all celebrities attend all days, so check the online schedule to verify who will be there.
