The mother of Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victim Catherine Violet Hubbard will speak in Greensburg on April 27.

Jennifer Hubbard will speak at the 9 a.m. annual breakfast of the Greensburg chapter of Magnificat — A Ministry to Catholic Women.

Hubbard’s 6-year-old daughter was among the 20 first-graders who were killed during the mass shooting in Newtown, Conn., on Dec. 14, 2012. Six teachers also were killed.

Hubbard and her husband, Matthew, have since founded the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary in their daughter’s honor.

Hubbard will speak on the theme “Walking in Confidence” at the Ramada Hotel & Conference Center, Greensburg, off U.S. Route 30. Tickets are $20 ($15 for students) and can be purchased by calling Brenda Concannon at 724-836-2094 or by visiting magnificatgreensburg.com.
